On Monday, 23 September at 8:50am the center of the Sun Crosses Celestial Equator. We call it Equinox. On the equinox, night and day are nearly exactly the same length – 12 hours. The equinox has many names — Cornucopia, Alban Elued (Celtic) or "Light of the Water," Mabon (after the Welsh God of the Harvest), and Harvest Tide. In the Northern Hemisphere, the September equinox marks the start of fall. Fall Equinox is a delicious descent—time to wind down, and let go. And yet it's set off by the sign of Libra, for fresh mind scapes and clarity.
It's said to be a good time for magic, with nature in balance—a rare moment of equal light and shadow.
We will gather on the eve of the equinox to journey for embodied knowing and the shamanic drum will lead the way. Together we will create a ritual with all the necessary ingredients: we will set intention and open the space for shamanic exploration, we will dive deep in the wild wisdom of our intuition and inner knowing. There will be space to let go of limitations that are holding us back, bring in new vision and strengthen the connection with our true power. We will finish our ritual with tea ceremony using our indigenous plant. This silent meditation with tea is an ancient way to connect with our inner shaman and will support integration and grounding. This is when we’ll have time to take notes from the journey and then come together for final sharing.
Empowerment and humbleness. It’s time to reach to all known resources to connect with the unlimited source of guidance, love and compassion within – for ourselves and those around us.
This 2-hour ritual is intended to connect us with the divine. We will reach beyond the known to gain guidance, power and wisdom. We will aim to do that individually and collectively, travelling through many different portals. We will aid ourselves with plant spirits, animal spirits, fire and drum. Doing so, we will explore our true nature, go beyond our fear and illusion and outgrow some of our limitations. In a friendly circle of supportive brothers and sisters, in a tribal way. We will journey, share, support each other, sing and celebrate in this magical time of equinox.
